Obviously, due to F&B, the resort's costs have a larger per-person component than normal hotels, more similar to say cruise ships, so it certainly makes sense that they charge extra for 3 or 4. But unlike cruise ships, which usually give singles some break (even a small one) versus the couples rate, I don't see any break at these resorts.
Will they give you anything extra for checking in as 1 person, like a credit for some premium stuff normally charged for, to balance the fact you'll consume only half the F&B?
The cash rates for 1 guest are lower than the rates for 2. The points rate is the same for 1 or 2 guests.
