Option 1) sounds the best bet. Call the Singapore number, instead of the US one.

Option 2) though possible sounds most onerous. If you're having to call anyway, might as well do option 1).

Option 3) of course is most straightforward but, as you pointed out, comes at a cost. Guess it depends on how much you value those 8K miles per pax, against your own patience and sanity...
