Platinum Status Not Honored at Renaissance NY Midtown
Hi. This is my first post. I recently had a stay at Renaissance NY Midtown - a Friday to Sunday. As a Platinum member I was expecting at least breakfast or some kind of voucher. The hotel said no breakfast, no voucher and no lounge on weekends, but I would get 500 points for Platinum. Very disappointing response and stay in general. After checking out and looking at my points it appears the 500 points never even posted. Do I have any recourse with the Hotel or Marriott for the $100 compensation that it states in the list of Platinum Guarantees that I should receive. I mentioned it to the hotel and the reply from the manager was "we will do better next time". Not what I expected since there are literally hundreds of other options within a 2 block radius. Does anyone have any suggestions for requesting the $100 compensation?
