My wife might fly to Dimapur Airport (DMU) in Nagaland in December.

I've checked the airport wiki page and only IndiGo and Air India fly there from Kolkata or Delhi - two airports my wife can use for arrival from Singapore.

A brief search of google flights shows that it is not possible to buy a single ticket from Singapore, so it has to be two separate tickets - one from Singapore to CCU/DEL and the second - from these airports to DMU.

My question - what are the risks associated with such a setup and what does one needs to take care to reduce whatever possible problems? My wife is well traveled but has never been to India before and she will travel alone.
