Following up on my post above.

My avios booked BGI-LGW now gets in too late for the schedule changed and non-connecting LHR-AGP so I asked for the BGI-LGW to be swapped to BGI-LHR.. There is no award availability and its not actually the flight that's been amended but BA came back to me today and agreed to swap my Barbados flight into LHR rather than LGW to line up with the rescheduled Malaga onward flight.

The wonderful CS agent mentioned a "Rescue Me" policy and got it signed off by the duty manager in about 30 mins all told.

AMAZING SERVICE.

Edited to add there was no LGW to AGP option other than staying overnight
