Fair enough.
As OP was on a RTW the pricing of individual airlines would not matter, but for the service on longhaul PE I have no experience and have no say.


For me, it is all about their LCC approach and total lack of customer care.

To me they are an airline that charges for food that may or may not be served.

If they don't sell enough seats on a flight, they will cancel it on the day of departure with no notice to customers and leave you stranded at the airport. Meaning you will end up getting that Qantas ticket anyway. Oh, the savings of getting a Qantas ticket 1h before take-off, in addition to the now worthless Jetstar ticket ...

And they have a call center that requires "validation of the caller" before helping you and the protocol is to do that by checking residential address. And when that doesn't follow Australian form (hint: Not all countries has a federated state structure or use the limited Australian version of the alphabet) they can't validate.


That are the reasons I personally would stay away from Jetstar, but that is just my two cents.
