I'm torn because I have good redemption options for a YUL-BRU in business. However, the absence of bassinet worries me. ==> +/-240K points for 2 adults (+ infant fees) (crazy redemption considering current dynamic pricing ranges at less then 60k per person per leg)
I'm considering getting economy seats instead for the bassinet (paying cash + premium seat selection to score C18 or F33 seat ) ==> +/- $2400 for 2 adults (+ infant fees)
Also, there is something weird : on AC website, the seatmap shows no bassinet in Airbus A330-300 layout 1, whereas a booking simulation shows bassinets in C18 or F33 seats.
What would be your advice ?
Thanks ;-)
Having done both scenarios, I would definitely pick the business class. My daughter hated the bassinet and just cried every time put her in so the wife and I ended up carrying my daughter almost the entire flight, and definitely didn't make the same mistake again with our son. My wife and I are small so we could both lay side by side with the baby in J seats albeit not being very comfortable but we took turns and made it work. It was definitely much better than economy class overall.
