I have noticed a lot of the hotels that I used to book only with points are now charging cash with points when I try to book them. They stopped offering a points only booking and stopped accepting the free night certificate.
Does anyone know what the Marriott policy is on hotels that stopped doing points only bookings and moving strictly to points and cash bookings? I feel like this is really devaluing points a lot.

This looks like one of those questions where you’ll get much better responses if you could illustrate your question with a couple of specific examples where hotels are now only offing points/cash instead of points. Same with hotels where award availability is different between app and website.
