This is the first modern rendering of the project (other renderings are out there but they are 15+ years old) and I believe the first time the airports authority is giving the new concourse a name...Tier 2 East, which I take to mean that this is the first phase in the long awaited replacement of the C/D complex.
So this is interesting, but two questions: would this ultimately include a proper change to Customs? Would they continue to have to bring passengers to the main terminal, or do they do a modification to the train (thinking MUC, for example) - or would inspection ultimately happen at the terminal rather than ferrying back? I'd assume any major project would contain provisions to get rid of the mobile lounges.
Also, any possibility for n extensions of the underground walkway all the way back there?
