Qantas First Class redemption bumped to Business due to plane change
I had an AsiaMiles redemption for a First Class seat LAX to SYD on 31st Aug. I just got an sms from Qantas that seat changed as plane was swapped from A380 to 787. Alarm bells as 787 has no First cabin. I checked the booking ref in Qantas and Cathay and I've been bumped down to business. I'll have to take the flight as I can't see any other option to get home.

Will Cathay refund me the points difference between First and Business? I'm guessing not... 2022 travel can be frustrating. I've been looking forward to that First experience for months.
