From looking at ExpertFlyer, yes, your flight looks like it's pretty empty. However, that's not unusual for late in the season heading to Europe, and I note that the return flights from Paris are showing much healthier loads.
While running an empty flight over may not seem worthwhile, the aircraft does need to get over to CDG in order to operate the busy late season flight back to Canada.
