I've used both taxi and Uber/Lyft to get from DFW to downtown Dallas. The pricing is similar nowadays for either option (somewhere in the $40-45 range if I remember correctly). I find taxis to be easier from many airports these days as there's a designated taxi stand vs. having to call ahead for an Uber.
