It took me a while to understand what was going on here. My travel agent sold me a ticket that cost exactly what was quoted on the BA website. It's a perfectly legitimate business class ticket. Unbeknownst to me, the agent sold me what I consider to be a second-class ticket - it's not upgradable by Avios. When I asked her about that, she told me she could sell me an upgradeable ticket for an extra $2000 or so, which is of course ridiculous. Yes, this is the only issue I have. Admittedly, this is a very small issue which concerns only me, and I realize it's a very first-world problem. But I hope it's OK to raise these kinds of issues in this forum
