Love this post! It may be what convinces me to stay at the Amankila vs. going to Nusa Dua. Did you get in the water at all? If so - how far out is the shelf to walk, and are the waves gentle to relax in? Any issue with rocks or seaweed? I'm really looking for a beach that is pleasant to be in - and some of the Nusa Dua beach areas are giving me pause.
Kila has a lovely rather private black sand beach , quite a few do bodysurfing , paddle =boarding .. They can take you out on Kila ‘ s hobiecats , etc . Check when you are there
Nusa Dua more for watching fishermen early in the morning and others trying to wade

. People watch , enjoy the kites being flown .. Nice boardwalk
Usually pair Kila with Nusa Villas before leaving as closer to the airport
