Some more information on what your trying to book would be useful (what Itinerary, etc). But in general if you put in your United # and/or present your United Premiere Gold to Air Canada staff your Star*G benefits will apply on an Aeroplan ticket. How you purchase the ticket rarely impacts your Star*G status.
