Guv - a little. Not much. I'm joining a tour. I've thought about flying into Lebanon (not sure on safety) or another nearby country and spending a couple of days.

WheelsGal - I've played with that a lot and unfortunately didn't get much luck by the time I made for RT flights. I looked at Chicago, New York, DC, Miami, Atlanta and Boston. I could definitely save some more but is it worth the hassle and potential issues of positioning flights? Not sure.

Repooc - it looks like Star Alliance is the best way to get there from all of the research that I've done. Open to other ideas!

crafty - okay thanks that does look good and thanks re upgrades! I could live with W class if I didn't get upgraded.
