Flying Glasgow to Montreal as dual British & Canadian citizen

(Wasn’t sure if I should put this here or in the Canada forum, so feel free to move if necessary.)

Hi all - I will be flying with BA from Glasgow to Montreal in a couple of weeks (connecting in Heathrow), and this will be my first time flying to Canada since it became a requirement to enter with a Canadian passport if you’re a Canadian citizen (I have citizenship through one of my parents, I’ve never lived there). I booked the flight using my UK passport, but I just realised I’m not sure if that was the correct thing to do.

For the Advance Passenger Information, should I fill that out with my UK or my Canadian passport? Also, should I show my UK or Canadian passport when I check in for each flight? I’ll be bringing both passports with me, just not sure which one to use when! Thanks in advance for any advice.

(Also, not sure if it’s relevant, but my husband will be travelling with me and he only has British citizenship. He has his eTA already.)
