If you go in the evening just remember Virgin has flights going out and Delta has an LHR flight in the evening. Not sure if they are giving Delta One and Delta DM's and PM's on the DL LHR flight priority as well or not
I went with wife & kid on Tuesday, sort of an odd entry experience. We had come in from London on AA, were flying out to PWM on DL. It was something like this:
me: [walk up with plat card in hand]
agent 1 to agent 2: platinum card?
agent 2: yeah, sure
agent 1: welcome! are you flying virgin to London?
me: no, actually just came from London. But we're on Delta.
agent 1: did you fly Virgin from London?
me: Nope, American.
agent 1: where are you heading?
me: Portland, Maine. On Delta. Is it crowded in there?
agent 2: not too bad, not like yesterday
agent 1: [sigh], yeah
me: oh, great
agent 1: well, welcome to our club! we hope you can fly virgin to London next time!

So, the first bit of that seemed like there's some quasi-rationing going on, and the last bit seemed like a feeble marketing attempt. Not sure what to make of it, but the food was excellent compared to Centurion or SkyClub, and proper Champagne was on offer, so it's worth the 6 minute walk to give it a shot even if there's a risk of being turned around.
