Stay instead at their charming sister property Mandapa RC Reserve. Now that one is a beautiful place with excellent service.
Was the car a house car? We had a similar issue with our pickup from Alila Villas Uluwatu - very old, beat up car and no water/snacks in the car. I asked the driver and he said he works for a third party company and not Alila.
It sounds like the RC might have done the same thing in your case.
