Read recent reviews and decide if it is still okay at those properties you like.

Sonesta also got a block of IHG properties. The Sonesta properties in former Marriott and former IHG properties are owned by Hospitality Properties Trust and that owner has an ownership interest in Sonesta so they reassigned the operating agreements for these properties they owned to Sonesta from Marriott/IHG.

Sonesta got some decent properties and many rather tired properties out of the Marriott/IHG deal for managing the properties. Then they bought Red Lion/America's Best Value Inn group network, but I don't think that impacts the stuff with the Sonesta branding, they obviously aren't running those but just running a reservations network and taking royalties.
