Check-in facilities are landside. This is where you can check-in your luggage if you have any, get your boarding pass and sort out lounge access.
Then you go through passport check and reach airside where the lounges are located.
Air Tahiti website says that their lounge in CDG is named "Paul Maxence in Terminal 2A. But they add that AA passengers must contact them to get info on lounge access.
I am not familiar with TN, so other members may be able to give you more information.
Thanks. I forgot to add that I'm not checking any bags. But I noticed that note about AA too. In LAX they excluded me from the lounge because I bought from AA. No time to get to AA lounge, but consensus on FT was that I would not have had access there either. But it is also possible that I would have gotten an invitation to use if I'd checked in landside (which I did not). I'll give it a try this time.
