Well just got off the phone with the Hyatt properties I will be staying at.

For every hotel I spoke with, 4 Hyatt’s(including Hyatt Place & Hyatt Regency's) all had basically the same policies...theoretically, as I'm sure everyone I spoke with might not know the letter of the policies. But...I specifically asked if I could book any room at the hotel when making my reservation, including suites, and was told that yes I could book any room I would like. One hotel said they typically put travelers with dogs on their 1st floor with rooms, but that if I had booked something else that there would be no issue. I also specifically asked if I could leave my dog in the room while I was eating breakfast. All hotels said that this was ok. I'll mention one hotel even said, "sure, we actually expect you'll leave your dog in your room". Another said they would get our phone number at check-in so if there was some type of noise issue that they could just call us. I also asked if I needed to notate my reservation somehow at time of booking or notify the hotel before hand. Again, all hotels had the same response, when you check in just let us know and we will then add the fee to your bill.

Seems most places expect people will leave their dogs in their rooms for a period of time and is perfectly fine with the hotel. We wont be traveling till late October, but I will be sure to update with any new information.
