I booked an AM flights JFK-MEX on delta.com and called to use a regional upgrade. The agent said the upgrade was available but after checking with the partner desk was told that it was not possible when booked on the AM code which is a catch 22 as DL has not been selling AM codeshares since the FAA ruling. There's confusion due to wording. Following from section about AM operated.
Delta's published fares booked in W, S, Y, B, M, H, Q, K, L, U, T, X or V class
It needs be a DL published fare. However it can and obviously will be, booked using AM code. It doesn't need be a DL marketed code, especially since there's currently no such thing.
