I don't usually fly with American, and I can't seem to find the answer to my question without calling in; which, based on other comments on this sub-forum, appears to be a bad idea if I want a knowledgeable answer. So I'm trying my luck here! I have a domestic cash booking in class "I." I thought I was booking refundable, but apparently it is just flexible? So can I cancel the current booking and use the value of the ticket for an international booking? The international booking is available on AA.com and includes at least one leg on AA metal both ways (albeit not the international portion). Can I do this with an "I" ticket or not?
