Being a SE Asian myself, I noticed that there aren't many candidate trips here that depart from C3se. I have tried searching for some in ITA but the cheapest option generally don't have high YQ. At times, when I come across those fatty ones, they are so expensive that cutting their fat off entirely does not make them anywhere attractive than Google flight results.

Fares ex C3se tend to be much lower that C1, so you may not find great bargains over published fares. Japan, OTOH, from past posts is more expensive.
Some of my friends who used to fly to C3se ended up buying a one way ticket (often using their airline points) and then buy roundtrip fares from C3se to C1 with LOOOOONG time until return to Asia. This of course requires some good planning
Not my strong suit, so I never did it.
