Overnight transit at HND but not NRT?
I'm seeing conflicting information on transiting: Sherpa, which follows the government sites and the one most airline agents refer to, states you can only transit Japan if it's within the same calendar day and yet I also seeing many reports that's it the same calendar day at NRT but 24 hours at HND.

If it's a federal policy, I'm confused as to why it would differ between airports?

I have a 12-hour layover (10 pm to 10 am) at HND and am obviously concerned.

Has anyone first-hand experience with an overnight layover at HND recently?
