Hello,

Thinking about taking Korean Air IAD-ICN-BKK and back this fall. Wanted to take stopover in Korea but the testing requirements put me off. We'll stay extra 4 days in Thailand. However, my question is if Korean Air charges for seat selection at the time of the booking? Wanted to book flights directly on Korean Air website.
I did dummy booking and got to the payment page before it got to the seat selection page. So I don't know if they charge for the seats (I'm talking about regular seats at the back of the plane).
Also, is 50 minutes connection in ICN doable?
