I've been a lurker on this forum for a while...i'm impressed how knowledgeable everybody is, hopefully you can help me with my question.

I'm traveling from New York to Taipei, the first leg on a DL ticket, on KE from JFK to ICN (Korea), then transferring to EVA Air (on an Eva ticket) from ICN to TPE. I'm wondering whether my baggage will be checked through to Taipei or if i'll have to claim them and then check in with EVA in ICN. It makes a difference regarding the baggage weight allowance. I'm also curious whether I'll have to go through immigration in ICN.

I asked Delta, and they said they had no idea. I asked EVA, and they said it depended on what KE does, and KE said I'll have to ask when I check in at the airport in JFK. Not so helpful :P

Any ideas?
