Yes, I’ve been through LHR a good amount recently, including two short hauls (LHR-BRU and DUB). 4 recent long hauls through LHR over the summer, including in June/July/Aug. Not a single problem. All flights operated on time and had gates available. Again, flying has a lot to do with luck.
Update: AS did recently come to my recuse by getting me home from DFW on Sunday (DFW was an actual mess because of weather - my AA flight was cancelled). Anyway, AS was generally on time AND there was a gate available at SEA upon arrival!! This is my first flight in over a year with AS that a gate was actually available at SEA upon arrival.
