I found these dirt cheap flights from Germany to San Diego on Google Flights, booked via United, much much cheaper than booking thru a United.com search but it didn't give me the fare classes until after booking. I thought I'd try and see if after the flight number change the actual LH booking classes are revealed. Didn't pan out.
united and Lufthansa fare classes are mostly aligned except for premium economy fare classes. So a T on United will be a T on Lufthansa.
Typically “dirt” cheap Lufthansa flights are not upgradable via PlusPoints. You can use United online and specify fare class as part of your search.
