Not in the case I was looking at. was O1, and also had multiple unassigned seats. And at departure only 1 passenger came off either upgrade lists. No Block seat message either. Or is possible that some travellers booked through 3rd party and don't bother about choosing seats, something that my parents would do, just curious, do UA auto-assign seats to those not choosing seats at the time of booking? I know CZ, MU,AY, and TG don't.
