The check in area is hours of fun for any people watching afficianado! The doddery old infrequent flying grandmas - I swear, EMA-EZ-EDI is the geriatric transport shuttle - spend more time having the system explained (yelled) to them (usually thrice over) than it would take to just check them in.
I'm sure there are operational efficiencies, and with EZ you get what you pay for, but the passengers don't seem too keen!
