I have a two night stay booked for a significant wedding anniversary but I’m really stuck on dinner plans and would appreciate some recommendations.

We are booked into a club room and expect that we will enjoy pre-dinner drinks and canapés before heading out for dinner. We live elsewhere in France and have been to Paris a few times before. For one evening I’m looking for a mid-scale restaurant close-ish to the hotel (we are able to walk easily, distance is more about convenience). We don’t have massive appetites and are able to regularly enjoy French cuisine so it’s looking for something that is really enjoyable but not too up-scale or touristy.

We’d also like to do an evening river cruise (we’ve done daylight ones before). I’m not sure whether to just take an entry level cruise with low expectations for dinner (having already snacked in the lounge), or will that likely be disappointing? I looked at some of the more upscale river dinner cruises but the menus don’t appeal to me as a fussy eater. Does anyone have any advice on how to do this?

Thanks!
