If the choice was in business class on that silly routing vs even economy on the direct flight on Emirates, I would pick economy every day, watch movies for 14 hours and land without any panics or sweaty runs to catch flights or risk of missed luggage etc
OP, your one and only problem was picking this routing when a very convenient direct flight existed. Time is more important than any anciliary perks of a better seat.
I don’t fly on Emirates. Hard stop. I don’t fly Emirates for many reasons, including known safety issues, their product, and treatment of staff. That’s my personal choice. I would have taken the BA flight SEA-LHR, as I usually do, but it wasn't operated the day I needed to fly.
So while you might think that is an absurd routing, it was one extra stop… the topic was about AS’ operational performance and how well they are integrated into OW ….
