Yes, it's gone. It was never supposed to be cheaper, and I think that's why they eliminated it.

Two workarounds noted so far -- (a) use Google Flights; (b) put in different dates originally, and then use the 7-Day Fare Calendar that comes back to switch to the date you actually want.
