Design Hotels seem to be everything from four star up to almost luxury hotels positioned above a JWM, but I think perhaps the issue is this hotel is too big and wants to be more closely associated with Marriott. Agree Le Meridien or Renaissance would make more sense or even Luxury Collection if they wanted to go for high-end. Not sure if W conversions are allowed these days, but the interiors are clearly more like a W than a JWM.
