I've flown the new seats twice (and PE once) - I really like the new seats. I've slept considerably better. I am a side sleeper so the extra width helps noticeably. Also not having a fold in the seat that would poke my hip bone. And sleeping seatbelt is so much better than trying to wrap the old airbag around yourself.
Same here, for sleeping it’s much better than the old one. A359 ”old” seat, however, is one of the worst J seats I have ever flown in. A333 old seat is much better than old 359 IMO, but yes, I’d say the new J is the best seat in AY fleet today. So I’d rank them:
1. New J
2. Old 333
3. Old 359
