Wanted to write a quick review of Carneros Inn in Napa as it pertains to a dog. I saw someone above ask about it, but I can’t find the quote now since the infinite scroll feature on this forum is driving me nuts.
Stayed at Carneros Resort in May of 2022 for our babymoon and brought our dog, who is a 45 pound german shepherd mix as well - we told them that he would be coming along with us, and they were more than happy to oblige.
The cottage is perfect for those who are traveling with dogs, as there is a backyard area that is completely fenced in and private. There are two loungers, two heaters, a firepit, as well as ample room to hang out under the sun outside and lounge. Out front, there is a porch with two rocking chairs and a lawn in front. When the wife was at the spa, the dog and I spent a couple hours hanging out on the porch just enjoying life.
We were provided with 2 dog beds, 3 bowls, (one for traveling around Napa!), some doggie treats as well - really great service, and all the staff loved on him. The grounds are great even for a more senior dog like ours, and he very much enjoyed his time on the lawn by the outdoor brunch area, as well as the little “Town Square” setting at the entrance of the resort where the coffee shop and garden is. Saw only one other couple with a dog, and they seemed incredibly happy as well.
The biggest thing is that there’s just so much green space, walking paths, etc., and you really feel like you’re not crowded and able to roam about the property.
Will definitely be back here, as we have very fond memories, as it was the last trip we were able to take with our dog before he passed a few months ago.
