while i can see most of these properties in need of updating, the durham marriott has pretty good rooms--at least the ones i've been in. they are more modern with just older furniture. and yes all the public spaces are genuinely aged.

now, why the glasgow marriott isnt on this list, i cannot imagine given it is one of the saddest and depressing and YELLOWED marriotts ive ever had the misfortune of staying in.
