This seems like one of the largest rebrandings I've seen in a while. As for Delta's image, I agree - it's very location dependent. Delta properties in its original home country (Canada) are quite nice and match or exceed similar Marriotts. Delta Montreal is a bit dated but very comfortable and refreshed where it matters. Delta Toronto is beautiful and modern with 5-star bathrooms and sweeping views in the 40+ floor tower. I would not want to stay at a Delta in the US, though - I haven't seen one with good reviews yet.
