Booked Premium Corner got Premium Corner City View on high floor (1 category upgrade in my opinion)

How are the rooms?

Decor is not my cup of tea (very dark and red, late90s early 00s style that has not aged very well imo) but room was quite big with great views over downtown and the St-Lawrence. Bathroom was large as well with separate shower and tub. Bed was comfortable and ac worked very well

What was good and what was bad?

Good

• Great Ambassador benefits recognition right at check-in with upgrade, 4pm check-out and 25CAD F&B credit all offered proactively.
• Got charcuterie plate in room a few minutes after check-in
• Had to tell the staff member checking me in that diamond had breakfast as welcome amenity choice, after checking with manager was sorted out.
• Free diamond breakfast was very well implemented in my opinion. After giving your room number at the reception, we were given two chits that we placed on the table. This let us choose any main breakfast entree (there were 4 choices and we were happy with all of them) plus coffee, juice, etc. Great part was there was nothing to sign at the end, the gratuity is included which is the way to implement this.

• Fantastic location in the city

Bad

• This is nitpicky but thought I would score a better upgrade as a Diamond. But was very happy with room we got.
• Elevators can be slow (my favourite topic!)

Value for $ or Priority Club Points? Would you return?

As everywhere, prices are crazy this summer, I was happy with our stay (it is great to be a a tourist in your own city, plus this trip was to get to 40 nights ) but it was not particularly good value for the price I paid. It was standard and we will return regularly as we had a great time.
