I have used ET many times. They are pretty good with the connections in Addis. I would not be worried about that. Even with half an hour it could work. I have also been lucky with luggage on ET. Any airline can mess that up and we have had some horrors in Europe on that score. No particular problems with the onboard service either. The lounges in Addis have never been great however.
