Marriott seems to think that FT’ers are just an outlier (noise around the edges) and that we don’t really represent the bulk of their end product. Remember we are not the customers (the franchisees are) and that we are the product that they can leverage to make incremental revenue.

If China is opened, that's where I would love to use my Marriott status. I have very limited experience with Hilton and Hyatt in China so I can't really comment too much, but it was good. Even as a Marriott Platinum back in 2019, I was treated extremely well and got upgraded to suites more than half the time. Now that I'm Titanium, I can't wait to go back to the major Chinese cities like Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangzhou and try out more hotels!
