I'm curious about this approach and feel I'm missing something. If a Bonvoy member has re-qualified as Titanium already then surely they would want to spend the remaining hotel nights in Bonvoy hotels to get the elite benefits that they've earned rather than try to qualify with another chain that won't give them benefits until they reach that chain's qualifying criteria. I mean, I have re-qualified each year with Bonvoy because I enjoy the elite benefits when I stay rather than because I want another membership card in my Apple Wallet. Or are these just travellers that regularly spend hundreds of nights each year in hotels so qualify for elite status in multiple chains each and every year?
