Really feels like DL is about to throw in the towel on Tokyo-PDX. I hope I’m wrong, but isn’t PDX-HND the only pre-Covid Tokyo route that DL has yet to resume?
I’m in the camp that believes DL will return to the Tokyo route. Even though it did not always run daily in the winter, it was well established and had been in place for some time. I am skeptical the PDX -ICN flight will start in the foreseeable future. Someone on another blog mentioned reserved seats were really light prior to it being postponed yet again.
I must in be the minority. As a Delta frequent flyer, I don’t have an issue connecting up in SEA. The Delta SkyClub there is one of the best, and a second even larger club is in the works. By contrast, the club at PDX must be one of the oldest and smallest in the system. It’s pretty bad. Also, having access to SkyClub partners such as Air France, Virgin Atlantic, and Korean through SEA is a great plus for me. I had excellent experiences earlier this summer with Air France and Virgin. The new IAF facility is pretty impressive as well. Throw in a Delta Porsche transfer when connections are tight in SEA, and I fail to see what’s not to like.
