Hi folks, I have a short-haul SK flight on Aug 21 (SK 1430 CPH-ARN) booked with UA miles. After checking in, I noticed something worrisome about the carry-on baggage allowance. Namely, unless I'm missing something here, I believe I should be allowed a carry-on bag. However, after checking in, the SAS app and website says underseat bag only. What should I do?
After booking the award flight through United using UA miles, I went to the SAS "manage my bookings" page and verified the reservation was indeed an SAS Go Bonus ticket (fare code X), and not some Go Light fare. At the time, I think the "manage my bookings" page said something like "information not available" in the baggage allowance section, but I wasn't too worried, because the policies listed on SAS's website seemed very clear that SAS Go Bonus tickets are allowed one carry-on bag. It says so in two different places -- the page that compares the various SAS Go fares, and also the page that describes the carry-on bag policy.
Upon checking in tonight, the app now suddenly says "underseat bag only", even though it still says I have a Go Bonus ticket. The "manage my bookings" page says something similar -- SAS Go Bonus, but also only underseat bag + 2 checked bags (I really really don't want to have to check the bag I was planning to carry).
Did I somehow misunderstand the carry-on baggage policy for *A award tickets? Does anyone have any advice on what I should do? I don't even see an option anywhere to pay extra to add a carry-on bag (which I don't believe I should have to do, but if it really comes to it, I'd rather pay some extra money to carry my bag to avoid playing checked bag roulette...)
