They have done this for me for my Jan, Feb and Mar RTs, but it was probably good that I originally booked it as seperate segments (UA 881 ORD-NRT connecting to UA 881 NRT-BKK) instead of the "direct" flight (UA 881 ORD-BKK), as that might complicate them making this change.
I tried to change to 883 (award ticket) but I had the "direct" flight 881 ORD-BKK and it would cost $100 (X 2). I may still do it as a shower and some off-plane time would be nice before heading off to BKK.
