New to FlyerTalk, but I am waitlisted for a redemption booking from MLE to SEA for Sep 5 and was wondering what I can do to either expediate or increase the chances of my seats being confirmed? I've called multiple times and tried to reason with the CSRs that I need to get my booking confirmed and they've all provided the same scripted answer of there being no more available award seats on my flights. Starting to get a bit worried and options are dwindling down for paying cash at a reasonable price for a return flight home. Any recommendations?
Before you approach SQ for any help, you need to ask yourself what's your chance of success for your appeal.
Having a look at commercial availability is a good starting point: With 1 seat left in Business Class for sale, zero seats in Premium Economy and zero seats in Economy for your flight from SIN to SEA on your date of travel, your changes of getting your award are zero. No airline in the world would approve this case.
You also need to be aware that MLE-SIN has only 737 aircrafts with 10 seats in Business Class and yielding an award on those is already next to impossible.
Your only chance of getting back to SEA will most likely involve paying cash to an airline that is not SQ.
