PDX/AMS is currently operating daily as DL178/DL179 and looks to be on the schedule through the winter.
As one of only three regularly scheduled transatlantic flights from PDX, it is well poised to grab a big portion of the pie. If you're going anywhere but AMS, it's nice to save a connection, even if SEA is close.
I doubt PDX could support a LHR flight with BA in competition, there really isn't enough connecting traffic on VS/SkyTeam that BA couldn't handle better. I would be surprised if PDX could support both an AMS and a CDG flight as well. Not a big difference in the ability to connect, and probably not enough traffic to sustain two wide bodies a day.
