I did read this in one of the tabloids – have absolutely no idea who she is. Thought perhaps she was a tennis player? Anyway – certainly would not be ready and willing to give up my seat to somebody who takes this attitude towards a fellow passenger.

that said – as a generally solo/traveller, on several occasions I have voluntarily suggested some people who are clearly together might like to make use of my seat. Sometimes they accept, sometimes they say they’re fine where they are.
